January 2025: Nocturnal Enuresis

Updated: Jan 13

Commonly known as “bed-wetting”, Nocturnal Enuresis is a condition many children and teens suffer quietly with. It effects their confidence, their willingness to enjoy fun sleep overs and we have even had incredible athletes choose not to play on elite travel teams – because they did not want the other team members to smell the urine if they wet the bed.

Sadly, this is more common than most would believe.

With specific chiropractic adjustments we are able to get to the root (literally the nerve root) of the problem and help these kids get back to living life! Typically, when evaluating a child who suffers from Enuresis – we find subluxations in the pelvis, sacrum and low back region. These bones house the nerve roots that control how your bowels, bladder and sexual function all work. This is also why someone who suffers with bedwetting may have some other digestive issues as well which only compounds their lack of confidence to control their bodily function.
